Just a few short decades ago a church-going man who publicly supported the right to life, backed laws protecting marriage, and spoke freely of Christ’s love for fallen man, would be universally recognized as a fine and upstanding citizen. He would be welcomed anywhere, including at the highest levels of power. But things have changed. In today’s America, the “progressive” left actively endeavors to destroy such a man. Modern American leftists start by vilifying Christians. They then begin scheming, quite often with success, to get Christians terminated from employment and forever marked with a scarlet “C” to inhibit any future prospects for employment. Next, they simultaneously attack their family and work to tear it apart, at once sending a warning shot over the bow of other Christians and pushing them to the fringes of society. The ultimate goal? Conform to their pagan demands, or face incarceration. American progressives have co-opted every elite institution: schools, government, the media, Hollywood and the arts; even, at an increasing rate, many conservative organizations. What’s worse is that progressivism has, like a deadly cancer, fully metastasized into what passes for the Church in America. There is a great falling away afoot, and apostasy reigns supreme. The secular left doesn’t merely have a disagreement with Christianity. These are not people with whom one may reason, compromise or even disagree. They are dedicated to evil. They demand nothing less than the abolition of the biblical worldview, and the destruction of Christ’s followers right along with it. Now is the time to fight back. If you are someone, Christian or not, who refuses to see Christianity wiped out (like it ever could be) and your children indoctrinated into pure evil, then sitting on the sidelines is no longer an option. In Hating Jesus Matt Barber first documents how successful the American left has been in its War on Christianity and then concludes by providing both hope and a simple plan on how the body of Christ can fight back against the enemies of God. We live in dire times. But, with Christ, it’s never too late to turn the tide!
My analysis is that most faith based systems depend upon an absolute moral order. The declaration of things as absolutely evil or absolutely good, as sin or virtue, puts liberalism into a horrible position because it’s founded on no judgment on anything. As a result, any faith that is seriously practiced or understood is a challenge to the politics that depend on constituencies that would rather not be told that their choices are bad and their lives are not virtuous. – Hugh Hewitt
Most liberals in this country tend to treat Christians one of two ways: either with open, sniggering contempt or if they think they need their votes, they tend to switch over to hamhanded and grotesque pandering. That’s not to say that there aren’t liberal Christians, there are plenty of them, but they’ve just become accustomed to being treated by their fellow liberals like the sort of refuse you scrape off your shoes after a long walk through a cow pasture. – John Hawkins
Liberalism is so unrelentingly hostile to Christianity that it’s virtually impossible to be both a devout Christian and a devout liberal at the same time. To be a liberal Christian means you either have to completely gut your religious beliefs to make them compatible with your political inclinations or alternately, you have to spend your days cowering with your eyes down while your fellow liberals demean, smear, and mock everything you should hold dear. To be a liberal Christian is to regularly read comments from your comrades in arms like these from Amanda Marcotte, who later got a job with John Edwards’ presidential campaign despite her well known hostility to Christianity.
Q: What if Mary had taken Plan B after the Lord filled her with his hot, white, sticky Holy Spirit? A: You’d have to justify your misogyny with another ancient mythology. It means listening to blithering idiots like Kathy Griffin scream,
A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus. Suck it, Jesus, this award is my god now!
It means reading about other liberals freaking out about someone as non-political as Tim Tebowbecause he’s managed to shine a positive light on Christianity.
If Tebow wins the Super Bowl, against all odds, it will buoy his faithful, and emboldened faithful can do insane things, like burning mosques, bashing gays and indiscriminately banishing immigrants. While America has become more inclusive since Jerry Falwell’s first political forays, a Tebow triumph could set those efforts back considerably.
Even though an amazing movie like The Passion of the Christ has made more than $600,000 million and a pro-Christian action flick like The Book of Eli can crack $150 million, liberal entertainers in the music industry and Hollywood obsessively attack Christianity and put out 10 pieces of garbage like Dogma and Jesus Camp for every movie that treats Christianity respectfully. Nicki Minaj even did an elaborate, blasphemous performance mocking the Catholic Church at the Grammys this year. That’s how comfortable Hollywood has become with hating Christians. There’s a reason they do that: Christianity, with its absolute moral order, is a dire threat to liberalism. If you’re a Christian with staunch morals who’s not in favor of abortion, gay marriage, teaching little kids about fisting or banning schools from mentioning Christ over Christmas, you’re in conflict with liberalism. If liberals started living up to the religious beliefs they claim to have, then they’d upset the general philosophy of the Democratic Party, which says that anything that will add more votes must not just be tolerated, but enthusiastically sanctioned. In the end, liberalism always trumps Christianity for Democrats. That’s why you saw “pro-life” Dems like Bart Stupak throw the babies under the bus when push came to shove over Obamacare. This has guided the liberal approach to Christianity. Liberals believe Christians should be mocked, impugned, and driven from the public square at every opportunity, except when there’s an election coming up. Then, Democratic candidates engage in pandering that liberals forgive them for, because they know they don’t really believe it. For example, many people marvel at how Barack Obama largely escaped criticism from the Left on gay marriage even though he has the exact same public stance on marriage that most Republicans do: that it: should be between a man and a woman. That’s easy to explain: Barack Obama is lying and liberals accept that’s something they have to do to get elected. This is the same guy who criticized people for: bitterly clinging to guns or religion, which is funny if you think about it, because isn’t that supposed to be HIS religion, too? Shouldn’t a real Christian WANT other Christians to “cling” to their religion? The Left’s laughably phony outreach to Christians at election time never matches up to how they behave day-to-day. Barack Obama, who won the Catholic vote by 9 points in 2008, just violated the “free exercise clause” in the First Amendment by demanding that Catholic hospitals provide free birth control and abortion- inducing drugs, even though that clearly violates their religious beliefs. Literally every Catholic bishop in America has spoken out against the policy, but of course, the Democratic Party is unmoved. This should shock no one who has seen the Left enthusiastically support government sponsored anti-Christian art, sue Christians who want to mention Christ in schools or courthouses, and even just fight to remove the World Trade Center Cross from the National September 11th Memorial and Museum. The Left has long justified this sort of behavior with the First Amendment.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
There would not be a single solitary Founding Father, including Thomas Jefferson, who would agree with the false interpretation of the First Amendment that the anti-Christian Left has foisted on this country by deliberately misinterpreting Thomas Jefferson’s letter to the Danbury Baptists. Even if Jefferson’s letter were something other than a less eloquently worded attempt to rephrase the First Amendment (and that’s all it is), his letter certainly wouldn’t trump the Constitution. Moreover, in Jefferson’s day, states had official religions, the Bible was taught in public schools, and Jefferson himself attended the regularly scheduled worship services on Sundays in the House of Representatives. If the Founding Fathers didn’t find any of those things to be in conflict with the First Amendment, then certainly having the 10 Commandments on a courthouse wall or kids singing Away in a Manager at Christmas time shouldn’t be a problem. To turn the First Amendment on its head to use as a bludgeon against the religious freedom of Christians is a despicable act. However, their attempt to subvert Christianity from within may be worse. When the Left infects Christian churches with Black Liberation theology, claims Christianity is all about “social justice,” or tries to make Jesus into some kind of socialist who demands that you support the government instead of taking personal responsibility, the Left is acting as a 5th column within the Christian Church. No ideology or political party has a monopoly on God and were Jesus to come back tomorrow, I’m sure that all of us, whatever our beliefs may be, would fall well short of the perfect standard he’d set. That being said, it’s time for the Left to stop having it both ways. You can’t endlessly spew hatred at Christians, sneer at people who take the Bible seriously and then claim to be friendly to people of faith. You can’t keep cheering on people like Mike Malloy….
Their God … keeps smashing them into little grease spots on the pavement in Alabama, and Mississippi, and Arkansas, and Georgia, and Oklahoma. You know, the Bible belt, where [in a mocking voice] they ain’t gonna let no goddamned science get in the way, it says in the Bible, blah blah blah blah blah. So, according to their way of thinking, God with his omnipotent thumb reaches down here and so far tonight has smashed about 20 people into a grease spot on highway 12, or whatever the hell highway they live next to.
…and Bill Maher…
You’re allowed to have your opinion that a Palestinian 2000 years ago walked on water and did magic tricks and he was really still his own father and all that stuff. That’s fine. You can have whatever opinion you want, and the fact that a billion other people believe it gives you a lot of strength and credence. But I also have the opinion that that’s ridiculous, that it’s anachronistic, this is the 21st century.
… and claim you’re good Christians, too. Liberalism is engaging in a war against Christianity and it’s time for people to call it what it is and start picking sides.
Jesus warned his disciples and explained why there exists a hatred for Christianity.
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
Remember the words I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates me hates my Father as well. If I had not done among them what no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen these miracles, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated me without reason.’ – John 15:18-25
What Christians are experiencing in the world today is not so much a “war on Christianity” as it is rebellion against God, and thus a hatred toward anything that points to God or His Son Jesus… and by extension a hatred of Christ’s followers.
In recent decades, we have seen worldwide an escalating of this hatred of Christianity in the form of militant radical Islam. While this Islamic jihad has been exploding for years throughout the Middle East and Europe, it burst on the scene in America on September 11, 2001.
Many Islamic-dominated nations have adopted a fanatical, militant doctrine of persecution against all “infidels.”
Close U.S. ally, Saudi Arabia has no religious freedom, all citizens must adhere to Sunni Islam. Others are imprisoned, tortured, detained, etc. for engaging in other religious activities. Apostasy is punishable by death. There are no public worship services for non-Muslims. Anyone who does mission work or converts Muslims faces expulsion, jail, or execution.
Since the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States where 15 of the 19 hijackers were citizens of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi government has failed to implement a number of promised reforms related to promoting freedom of thought, conscience, and religion or belief. The Saudi government persists in banning all forms of public religious expression other than that of the government’s own interpretation of one school of Sunni Islam; prohibits churches, synagogues, temples, and other non-Muslim places of worship; uses in its schools and posts online state textbooks that continue to espouse intolerance and incite violence; and periodically interferes with private religious practice.
The militant Islamic Government of Sudan severely restricts religious practice of all other types of religion and their restrictive Shari’ah law (Islamic law) attacks and threatens the Christian community. They are waging a self-described religious war against Christian, non-Muslim, and moderate Muslim persons by using torture, starvation, enslavement, and murder. They have violations of apostasy that could ultimately end up in the death penalty.
In Egypt (where the U.S. supported Arab Spring erupted that led to the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak), there continues to be serious problems of discrimination, intolerance, and other violations against religious minorities. Military and security forces are known to use excessive force and live ammunition targeting Coptic Christian demonstrators and places of worship resulting in dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries. The government also continues to prosecute, convict, and imprison Egyptian citizens charged with blasphemy.
Fleeing Egypt, 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians were kidnapped by a Libyan affiliate of the Islamic State of Iraq and marched to a beach, forced to kneel and then beheaded.
In U.S. occupied Afghanistan, the constitution and other laws and policies restrict religious freedom and, in practice the government generally enforced legal restrictions. Non-Muslim minority groups, particularly Christians, Hindus, and Sikhs, continue to be targets of persecution and discrimination. Shia and Sunni Islamic clergy, as well as many citizens, interpreted conversion from Islam as contravening the tenets of Islam. Conversion, considered an act of apostasy and a crime against Islam, could be punishable by death if the convert did not recant.
In Iraq, the government continues to tolerate systematic, ongoing, and egregious religious freedom violations. Religious sites and worshippers are targeted in violent attacks, often with impunity, and businesses viewed as “un – Islamic” are vandalized.
Iran has imprisoned Saeed Abedini, an Iranian-American pastor since 2012 allegedly for “threatening the national security of Iran.” At least 350 religious prisoners of conscience remain in Iranian prisons, including some 90 Christians.
In Pakistan, the government has declared those that who “insult” Mohammed will be put to death.
In Communist Laos more than 250 pastors and Christian workers have been arrested; more than 60 churches and Christian institutions have been shut down; and the government has forced many thousands of believers to sign documents to “renounce” their faith and belief in Christianity.
Hundreds of Christians, including women, children and the elderly, have been abducted in Syria by militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in northeastern Syria. Millions more Syrians have suffered the conflict in recent years. More than half of Syria’s pre-conflict population is now displaced or are regugees in neighboring countries. USCIRF Chair Katrina Lantos Swett said, “By the systematic targeting and massacre of primarily Sunni Muslims, the al-Assad regime created the environment in which ISIL could rise and spread, threatening the entire region and all religious communities that reject its violent religious ideology, with the smallest religious minority communities facing an existential threat.”
Other offenders of religious freedom according to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom also include Burma, China, Egypt, Eritrea, Iran, Nigeria, North Korea, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. The CPC watch list of countries considered borderline and many eventually end up with aggressive religious persecution include: Belarus, Cuba, India, Indonesia, Russia, Somalia, and Venezuela.
In more than 40 nations around the world, people are being persecuted simply because of their faith. Hundreds of men and women are in prison serving sentences that range from a few months to life. They are not criminals who have robbed or murdered other citizens but Christians who were put on trial for their faith in Christ and found guilty. Christians are beaten, tortured, imprisoned, and murdered by those who are hostile to their faith in Jesus Christ.
The Third Jihad – Radical Islam’s Vision for America
The Third Jihad is an in-depth documentary film that exposes the war the media is not telling you about. It reveals the enemy our government is too afraid to name.
Driven by the wars in Syria, Iraq and Afganistan, tens of thousands have fled their homes and flooding Europe in the worst humanitarian disaster of our time. Nearly half a million migrants and refugees have arrived in Europe in 2015, according to the United Nations High Commissiner for Refugees. The vast majority are Muslims, but its small Christian community is one of the oldest in the world, making up an estimated 10 percent of the population before the outbreak of the Syrian unrest in 2011.
Never before in American history have Christians experienced being hated for following Jesus Christ as they are today.
While the war on Christianity in America and persecution of Christians has not yet reached the feverish pitch of persecution as it has in other parts of the world, there is a battle being waged and the Antichrist forces are making progress. Executive orders have been signed by our President, labor camps have been setup, our government has stockpiled guns and ammo, and Christians have been put on the terrorist list. It wouold seem we are getting close to the day that here in American we will suffer extreme persecution.
Currently, there is still a Constitution in America that protects Christians and allows them to freely practice their faith. But, broiling beneath the surface, the same hatred of God that exists in other parts of the world is festering in all our institutions. Slowly, methodically, and incrementally the anti-God forces are working to remove that Constitutional barrier and replace it with the 10 Planks of Communism.
Forces within our government even use the so-called “war on terror” as a mechanism to actually support the enemies of our freedom. Following the 9/11 attacks, the U.S. Government has instituted numerous laws and regulations that strip Americans of the Constitutional rights and in some cases even paint Bible believing Christians as terrorists.
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God…. And from such people turn away!
…all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned …” 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 12-14
It is important to recognize that those engaged in the war on Christianity, working for the dissolution of our society and breakdown of the family have a spiritual agenda. They are not merely attempting to dismantle the historic cultural values of this nation and move us toward a new world order. They also want to destroy Christianity and Bible-based religion. It is a clear part of their agenda, and they have already moved a long way in that direction.
“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.” – Matt. 24:9
It was prophesied 2,000 years ago that Christians will be hated and ultimately handed over to be persecuted and put to death. The fulfillment of this prophecy began soon after Christ said it. Stephen was stoned (Acts 7:59); James was killed by Herod (Acts 12:2); and, the persecution under Nero took place before the destruction of Jerusalem, in which were put to death, with many others, Peter and Paul. Most of the apostles, it is believed, died by persecution. This prophecy was fulfilled then, and has been in all ages since.
Modernday Christians continue to witness the fulfillment of this prophecy even today. God hating zealots include people like David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinsky, and the other politicos, European Royalty, world bankers and CEO’s of multinational corporations who are members of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberg group and the Trilateral Commission. Their stated plan is to have a one world government which is opposed to God and Christ.
Christians Standing United
All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. – Matt. 10:22
Like-minded Christians should be standing firm together in our struggles while supporting and loving one another (John 15:17; Rom. 12:9-13). Instead of cooperating with unbelievers, we should “shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.” (Matt. 10:14) We should refuse any further connection with them.
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. – James 4:4
Turn OFF that ungodly television, stop going to their theaters, defy the governments unjust laws, stand in contempt in their corrupt courtrooms, stop voting for their corrupt politicians and demand government to return to just weights and measures, remove your children from their secular humanist public schools, fire your MD and stop using those drug pushers to attend to your health, free yourself from the slavery of employment if you’re working for an ungodly company, boycott the products of ungodly businesses and multi-national corporations and instead support those products and services of fellow believers. Read A Christian Patriot Action Plan to Resist the New World Order for a more complete manifesto of patriotic Christian activism. And, instead of being intimidated in the public square, Christians should be flooding that arena with the message, “The kingdom of heaven is near.” (Matt. 10:7)
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. – Romans 12:2
Instead of conforming to this world, true Christians are called to be different. Christians should be doing everything possible to get off the worlds’ grid. In addition to the things above a Christian can do, I would also suggest a renewal of your mind from the godless propaganda that has distorted your beliefs of just about everything. Learn the truth about the people, places, and things that have been influencing your life and the Antichrist will ultimately use to deceive even the elect (Matt. 24:24). Wake Up!
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. – Matt. 6:24 (KJV)
I am not suggesting the above actions from a reconstructionist theology point of view. I certainly don’t expect Christians are going to change the world into some heavenly utopia. You and I are not going to save the world. We can, however, influence some individuals and help them find the saving grace of God. And, I believe we are each individually responsible for our own choices of whom we serve. My prayer for you and I is that we come to the end of our time and hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matt. 25:23, KJV)
